Dr. Karasic provides expert psychiatric consultation and care. He has expertise in treating  people with depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, gender dysphoria, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, OCD, ADHD, ASD, substance use disorders, and other mental health symptoms. He provides psychopharmacologic consultations and expert witness work. He works with therapists who recognize a need for medication consultation, and can provide medication management alone or with psychotherapy.

Fees:

Initial consultation: $400

Follow up visit (25 minutes): $200

Follow up visit (45 minutes): $300

Follow up visit (60 minutes): $400

Billing transparency disclosure: As an estimate of total costs, typically after the $400 initial session, a $200 follow up is scheduled for 2 weeks later, then every 4 weeks as needed for medication adjustment and management. However, this varies depending on clinical need, which is determined with each session. Since appointment fees are billed and are to be paid in advance of sessions, there should be no surprise bills. A superbill is provided to submit to insurance as requested by the patient, but amount of reimbursement depends on the insurance company and plan and cannot be guaranteed. No shows and cancellations without 24 hour notice are subject to full fee charges, and will not be reimbursed by insurance.
